Samma Satta police seize huge quantity of ice, arrest three

Bahawalpur   -  Sama Satta police in southern Punjab led by District Police Officer Muhammad Hassan Iqbal launched an operation against drug peddlers in South Punjab and seized a huge quantity of ice and narcotics, besides arresting three accused.

SP Investigation Syed Jamshed Ali Shah, while holding a press conference at the SDPO Office Circle Saddar Bahawalpur along with SDPO Saddar Circle Khalid Mahmood and SHO Sama Satta police station and his team, said that the Sama Satta police successfully conducted an operation against drug peddlers and recovered a huge quantity of ice. He said that under the leadership of SHO Sama Satta police station Muhammad Ahmed Cheema, SI Muhammad Dilbar along with his team carried out a successful operation and seized a white car number AWH-473 from Jolodharan towards Ahmedpur. 

The police arrested Azam. A checkpost was set up near the chowk and the vehicle, being considered suspicious, was stopped and searched. During the search, about 20 kilograms of ice drugs were recovered from the vehicle. The three accused in the vehicle, Muhammad Awais, Muhammad Zahir and Asmatullah, were arrested on the spot. In addition to drugs, cash and mobile phones were also recovered from the possession of the accused. 

The arrested accused confessed during interrogation that they were going to supply ice from Quetta to Ahmedpur. The SP Investigation said that the District Police Officer Bahawalpur congratulated the police team for the timely and successful action and in this regard, the DPO Bahawalpur has clear orders that the zero tolerance policy against drug dealers should be strictly implemented at all costs. Efforts will continue to make Bahawalpur district drug-free by bringing such elements under the law.
