Security has been put on high alert throughout district Bahawalpur considering the current situation following the directions of IGP Punjab, said DPO Bahawalpur Sarfraz Ahmad.
Police officials including SDPOs and SHOs throughout the district have been directed to ensure security in the jurisdiction of their police stations\circles. At All holy places, churches important colleges and schools including sensitive locations, security be made further effective, he said.
The DPO said that SDPOs and SHOs held meetings with the administrations of the schools, colleges and other holy places and educate them on the danger hold them responsible to employ trained security guard in their institutions.
At the entrances and exits of the mosques, Imambargahs, churches, colleges and schools, concrete barriers be installed, he said. DSP City was directed to make patrol of Muhafiz Squad effective and continue the snap checking.
He directed to stay alert at the check posts established on the entrance and exits of the city and each vehicle be thoroughly checked before letting in and out of the city. He added that search operation against the social enemies continue. He said that significant results have been achieved during the district-wide search operation that have helped lower crime rate.
