DPO pledges to curb crime in Bahawalpur.

BAHAWALPUR   -  District Police Officer Faisal Kamran held an open court at Head Rajkan Police Station here on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, the DPO said that people’s cooperation was vital for controlling crimes. He said that protection of lives and property of people and quick redress of their complaints was the priority of police.

DPO suspended two police officers ASIs Abdul Majeed and Naveed over negligence during duties while show cause notices were issued to investigating officers and SHOs for poor investigation and supervision in a case. The villagers also applauded the DPO for arresting the accused in a murder case.

DPO said that stern action would be taken against corrupt police officials. On some complaints, the DPO ordered the arrest of Proclaimed Offenders and said that investigation into the cases should be carried out on merit.

On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar and Punjab IG Inam Ghani, District Police Officer Muhammad Faisal Kamran expressed the positive change in Punjab Police by holding a joint open court of four police stations in Yazman Circle at Head Rajkan Police Station.  A large number of men and women participated in the open forum. 

He heard the complaints of people and issued immediate orders for legal action against them, The DPO also held an open forum under the title of “Police Public Consultative Forum” and sought practical suggestions from the people for a “peaceful and secure Bahawalpur.” 

Addressing the open court, the DPO said that this series of open court would continue in remote areas to save the people from travel difficulties. He said that my mobile number was written outside 24 police stations across the district.  The public can contact me directly in any matter, whether in the morning or evening, day or night, the public will be given an immediate response.

Villagers applauded the DPO for arresting the accused immediately after the incident of murder in the area of Head Rajkan police station a few months ago.
