Children of police martyrs to get scholarships for higher education.

BAHAWALPUR - Paying a tribute to the martyrs of Bahawalpur police, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has decided to provide scholarsips for higher education to the children of the martyred policemen.

An MoU signing ceremony was held at Abbasia Campus, Prof Dr Athar Mahboob Vice Chancellor and District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Faisal Kamran signed the Memorandum of Understanding for providing scholarships to children of martyred policemen.

The University will give full scholarships to two children of martyred policemen every semester. These scholarships will be for bachelor programs in all departments and children getting admission on merit will be eligible for these scholarships.

Directorate of Financial Assistance, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur will provide scholarships to these children. These scholarships have been named as Al-Sadiq Scholarship for Martyrs of Bahawalpur Police.

On the occasion, DPO Faisal Kamran thanked IUB Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Athar Mahboob and said that the police had made everlasting sacrifices for maintaining law and order in the province.

 

Later, Bahawalpur DPO accompanied by the Vice Chancellor visited Abbasia Campus and appreciated the beauty of the campus. Prof Dr Javed Hassan Chandio, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Languages, Prof Dr Jawad Iqbal, Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences, Prof Dr Aftab Hussain Gillani, Dean Faculty of Law, Jibran Jamshed, Assistant Professor, Department of Law and Shahzad Ahmed Khalid, Director Press Media and Publications were present on this occasion.
