BAHAWALPUR:
Two girl students died while two others were injured when the roof of a hostel in Riaz Colony collapsed. The incident occurred when a dilapidated water tank on the rooftop of Husnain Girls Hostel collapsed. Shahla Manoor, 21, a resident of Chak 172 Murad Chishtian and Majida Iqbal, 21, a resident of Chak 172 Murad Chishtian, died on the spot while Faiza, 19, a resident of Chishtian, and Aisha Nawaz, 17, were severely injured.
They were immediately shifted to the Bahawalpur Victoria Hospital. Doctors said the injured girls were in critical condition, but they hope that both injured girls will survive. Bahawalpur DPO Syed Abbas also reached the scene and on his instructions, the SHO concerned of Civil Lines Police Station registered a report of the incident and started taking action against those responsible.
