BAHAWALPUR, The police conducted raids in different areas of Bahawalpur and arrested three alleged drug smugglers including a lady drug smuggler and recovered narcotics from them, police sources said.
A spokesman for Bahawalpur police said here that acting on tip-off, police parties conducted raids in different localities in Bahawalpur and arrested three drug smugglers including a lady smuggler besides recovering narcotics and liquor from their possession.
Civil Lines police raided a place in Model Town-C area and arrested a drug peddler and recovered 1250 gram hashish from his possession. In another raid, police arrested a lady smuggler from Bahawalpur Bus Terminal and seized 1165 gram hashish from her possession.
Baghdad-ul-Jadid police conducted raid in Chak-12 BC and arrested a suspect. The police also recovered 540 liter liquor from his possession. The accused have been shifted to police stations for interrogation. Further probe was underway.
