The Police department of District Bahawalpur has arrested several notorious and most wanted car lifters in recent operations with the support of the Anti Vehicle Lifting Cell's team. These offenders have confessed of lifting vehicles from various districts of Punjab including Muzaffergarh, Layyah, Rajanpur, Bhakker and Dera Ghazi Khan. Most of these cars were smuggled to the province of Balochistan and KPK while, a few of them were being sold and used locally. Vehicle laboratory tests were performed on these cars to decipher the original Chassis/VIN numbers and identify the owners. Vehicles were also hand overed to their actual owners during a joint press conferences at MPS Baghdad-Ul-Jaddid.
